He was a Lieutenant in the elite forces branch of the planetary military known as the "Ivory Brigade". It was during this time that he aquired the combat and espionage skills that would serve to keep him alive later in life. While enlisted in the Ivory Brigade, Vic's sister was kidnapped and forced into slavery in the Vol Kol underworld. Vic, posing as a rookie adult holovid star, infiltrated the sleaze ring and rescued his sister, but not before his stage name, "Vic Palisades" became linked to a torrid series of holovids Vic was forced to film to reinforce his ruse. This is still a sore point of discussion for Vic and he rarely ever discusses it. Due to a set up by the Royal Prince, Vic was framed for the murder of the ruling monarch and sentanced to death. Upon hearing of this Vic fled into the Vol Kol underground and upon learning of his family's execution, left the planet vowing to return and exact revenge upon the corrupt young prince and his newfound allies, the Empire. Odd jobs then filled up the next several years of Vics life until he found employment as a bag man with Akelish the Hutt. It was on a routine backup operation for Aiklish that Vic fell in with a group of rebels and decided that his life had taken a turn for the worse, and hoped that by serving the Rebellion he would be able to regain some of his lost honor.
