Story Element:
Planet is held captive by the Empire, and due to political sway, most Ryusdallians are forced to go along with the planetary leaders. Size: 1.5-2.0 meters tall

History: Melsh Qualin is a former military commander of the armed forces on his home planet of Ryusdal. They are an amphibious race who have chameleon-like qualities and who can process and exist in various kinds of liquid, especially with all of the high sulfur content in the water on their home planet, they are exceptionally resilient to toxic levels in liquids. When they talk, it's generally through their gills.
He is now a pirate, having seen many of his men suffer and perish, with the leaders of his planet eventually submitting to the Empire and handing over ownership of Rysudal instead of fighting to the very last warrior (which is the way of his people).
Disgusted with this turn of events he and several other commanders in the Ryusdal military went rogue, "liberating" several underwater battle vessels and, with their loyal crews, became outlaws and wentinto hiding in a hidden base in an inactive volcano where they now stage rebellious attacks against the Empire.
The weapons he uses are sonic based weapons and is very much a military weapon...which came from the stores and gear his group took from the Ryusdal military stores before going rogue.
